Welcome and thank you for choosing Washington University Pathology Consultation Services. We are part of the clinical arm of one of the nation’s major centers for academic pathology and laboratory medicine. Long focused on the relationship between the basic science of immunology and disease, the Washington University Department of Pathology and Immunology has played pioneering roles in surgical pathology and laboratory medicine.
The Breast Consultation Service carries a long tradition of excellence and distinction. It was begun by Dr. David Page, and later included his colleague Dr. Jean Simpson. Upon Dr. Page’s retirement, Dr. Simpson continued offering consultative services through Breast Pathology Consultants, Inc.
Currently, and under the direction of Dr. Boulos who trained with Drs. Page and Simpson, the Consultation Service will continue to provide state of the art diagnostic expertise, clarifying and resolving diagnostic challenges, and facilitating the delivery of appropriate medical care. Whether a pathologist, clinician, or patient, we are here to assist you with expert clinical care.
Electronic Ordering for Pathologists
Electronic ordering and reporting can dramatically speed up turnaround time and directly affect patient care. With our online portal, reports are quickly available as PDFs for easy integration into your information system. Order entry is simple and easy, saving time and potentially preventing errors. Reports are also saved in the system for retrieval at any time. Commonly ordered tests and services can be saved as favorites, saving time on future orders. Seamless integration into our internal laboratory information system means fewer errors and quicker turnaround times.
