Electron Microscopy Facility

Accredited by CAP/CLIA, our state-of-the-art Electron Microscopy Facility offers high-resolution ultrastructural imaging for both clinical diagnostics and research discovery. We specialize in comprehensive sample preparation services—including tissue processing, embedding, and the creation of toluidine blue-stained sections—alongside routine transmission electron microscopy (TEM) for tissue and cell culture specimens.

Our facility is equipped with JEOL 1200EX and JEOL JEM-1400 electron microscopes, both integrated with high-resolution CCD cameras to produce exceptional digital images. Expert interpretation is provided by board-certified specialists from the Divisions of Anatomic and Molecular Pathology and Neuropathology, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and scientific value.

Secure, password-protected portals allow clinicians and investigators to access digital images—renal biopsy images are seamlessly uploaded to online clinical reports, while research users can download their data with ease.

Whether you’re pursuing diagnostic clarity or pushing the frontiers of biomedical research, our EM Facility delivers precision, accessibility, and expert insight at every stage.
