| Sample Collection | It is important to indicate the collection time so total fixation time can be calculated. The total duration of formalin fixation should be in the range of 6-72 hours. Devitalization time is not required for core biopsies where specimens are always immediately transferred to formalin. Testing is not validated for decalcified specimens. |
